The Developer

Who is Venn Energy?

Venn Energy is a Canadian renewable energy developer operating across rural Australia. They are proposing solar projects at Boree (NSW), Lambruk (Tamworth, NSW), and Cooba (Victoria) — each facing significant community opposition.

Their Boree Solar Project project would permanently convert over 1,322 hectares of productive agricultural land near Geurie into a large-scale industrial solar installation. The project was proposed without meaningful early engagement with affected landholders or the broader Geurie community.

The Project

What is the Boree Solar Project?

The Boree Solar Project is a proposed 250MW solar facility covering 1,322 hectares of agricultural land near Geurie in Central West NSW. If approved, it would rank among the largest solar installations in the region.

The site spans multiple freehold properties in an area that has supported grain farming and grazing for generations. An Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) is currently under preparation — and the public submission window is your opportunity to be heard.
